Jimmy Nolen

OHS records Nolen's Oklahoma City birth, upbringing near Wealaka, early violin and guitar, 1955 discovery in Tulsa by Jimmy Wilson, later work with Johnny Otis, and 1965 entry into James Brown's band. It credits him with the chicken-scratch guitar style and gives his 1983 death.
