Our Public Promise
No sponsors. No sales.
No implied endorsement.
Our public promise applies to Oklahoma Musicians.
Oklahoma Musicians is an independent, privately operated volunteer project. It is not affiliated with any band, school, university, archive, historical society, museum, governmental body, or commercial sponsor.
Teaching, research, and responsible use
Oklahoma Musicians is a noncommercial teaching and research website devoted to Oklahoma music history and musicians’ experiences. Historical materials are presented with educational context and source attribution.
Materials are selected for publication based on permission, an applicable license, public-domain status, or a documented, item-specific fair-use assessment under U.S. copyright law. An educational purpose does not automatically make every use fair use.
