Rogers County

Musical history, people, ensembles, photographs, and source material from the Oklahoma Musicians Library.

The musical history of Rogers County.

Rogers County has a clearly documented school-band tradition centered on Claremore. Jerry Lingenfelter, a Claremore graduate, returned to teach elementary, junior-high, and high-school music for 27 years. The Claremore Museum of History identifies band festivals, college bowl trips, Claremore Homecoming parades, marching-band work, and later Justice-Tiawah band leadership.
