Pushmataha County — band and musical history
1890–1999
Musical history, people, ensembles, photographs, and source material from the Oklahoma Musicians Library.
Pushmataha County’s online record supports a meaningful school and community instrumental-music history centered on Antlers, Clayton, and the county’s former Choctaw Nation institutions. The strongest current evidence is not yet a fully extracted historical chronology. It is a combination of direct school-yearbook records, the Antlers American newspaper archive, and current school references that point to a continuing Antlers band tradition. (high)
