Logan County

Musical history, people, ensembles, photographs, and source material from the Oklahoma Musicians Library.

The musical history of Logan County.

Logan County has unusually strong early band evidence because Guthrie was the territorial capital and a major public-ceremony site. The strongest verified record is a Gateway photograph of the Oklahoma National Guard First Infantry Band participating in Charles N. Haskell’s inauguration parade in Guthrie on November 16, 1907. Confidence: High. [Gateway photograph](https://gateway.okhistory.org/ark:/67531/metadc1623239/)
